		Wood Family Teams Up to Raise $6,800 for UW Carbone!

	The weather was perfect for a Music & Motorsports night at the All-Star Challenge at Madison International Speedway. Kings of Radio entertained during the on-track autograph session and Matt Kenseth won the feature with an exciting last lap pass to cap off a perfect evening. Unfortunately, Chad Wood had motor issues and finished 23rd but he still was able to raise $1,000 for UW Carbone Cancer Center.

The most exciting race of the year came down to a side-by-side shootout as John Wood held off brother Jerry Wood to put the #72 Cost Cutters ASA Midwest truck in Victory lane. This 1st place finish provided UW Carbone Cancer Center with a $5,000 donation – THANKS to Cost Cutters Family Hair Salons! In the Late Model feature – Chad Wood was disappointed with his 9th place finish but still raised an additional $1,800 for UW Carbone so it was a very successful night raising money for cancer research. Thank you John and Chad and a SPECIAL thanks to Cost Cutters!

Hosting Music & Motorsports concerts
Race promoters provide a percentage of the gate in appreciation of a mini-concert as part of the race day festivities. These funds also benefit cancer research at UW Carbone Cancer Center and other charitable causes.
